Wandering women: the best of travel guide for women who are bit by the wanderlust bug

Paying heed to the century we are living in; we cannot deny the fact that women are moving forward in every field and aspect of life. Be it a business sector, job or studies, you can see that women are not behind men. Well, even after all this, it is still a matter of concern for the family members, especially the parents when a woman plans to travel alone. Now, what if you are bit by the wanderlust bug? You cannot just sit back and relax.

The urge to travel around the world is not something that women can’t have. Personally I prefer to travel on every vacation and for that, I always start my planning a few months back. So, all the ladies out there who are ready to step out with your bags packed but hesitate to finalize it, here’s the best travel guide for your solo or sometimes even all-girls trip.

1) Plan ahead

Please do not take any chance by going on impromptu trips. Plan everything beforehand. Finalize a destination, make bookings and chalk out an itinerary that would suit you. You need to plan your journey a few months back and the time always depends on the places that you are going to visit. For example, If you are planning to visit Europe, then you should start your preparation at least 6 months prior.

2) Convince your family

Let your parents or partner feel confident about you going out on a solo trip. Give them an assurance that everything will go well and you will have a trip of a lifetime. If they are relaxed, you will be calm and composed.

3) Pack light

Well, we do know that ladies have a lot of stuff to carry but it is always better to pack light while on the go. Do not carry unnecessary extra luggage. You will absolutely enjoy to the fullest when you have less burden to carry around.

4) Meet other female travelers

You are obviously advised to keep your personal information safe and sound but it doesn’t mean you will refrain from talking to people. Meet and greet fellow female travelers from around the world and trust me it will boost your confidence. Share your travel experience with them and know about theirs.

5) Explore the place

Do not restrict yourself while roaming around the city. Visit attractions, walk in the lanes, shop like crazy and explore the place to the fullest. You should go wild while traveling and trust me you will have the best time of your life.

Explore the place

6) Interact with locals

It is always a feel-good moment when the locals from any place interact with you and they make you feel comfortable and at home. Eat local, wear local, shop local and interact with them with all your heart.

Note: This obviously goes for places where the local people are nice towards travelers.

7) Be safe

Yes, you should interact with fellow female travelers and locals but you are grown up enough to understand the difference between good and bad. Do not go overboard and spill out too much of your personal details that can harm you in any way. Enjoy and have fun but you know where to STOP!

8) Break the ties

When you have taken out some time for yourself, do not stay addicted to your phone or any other gadgets. Talk to your loved ones twice in a day but keep your worries aside. Do not let anything bother you and fly like a free bird.

9) Be prepared for the worst

As I said, it is still uncommon to see female solo travelers or even female group travelers, so be prepared to face tough and difficult situations. You have to keep your mind alert in case something unusual happens or there are chances that it might happen. If you see someone trying to make a wrong approach towards you, scream and make a scene but do not succumb to the situation.

10) Have an eye on your belongings

People tend to think that woman can’t keep their stuff safe. Always remember that you are traveling alone and it is just you responsible for the safety of your belongings. Be alert especially when you are in public places.

11) Transportation tips

Always carry a map in your bag and have emergency helpline numbers noted down. Do not blindly follow the driver. Show interest in knowing about the route and keep discussing it with the driver. Ask him about the attractions falling on your way and this will force him to take you to the right place. You can also track your route on mobile navigation.

Always use map

12) Let your confidence speak

Your body language speaks a lot about your personality. Let your smartness and confidence speak out. Nobody messes with a smart woman and you will definitely enjoy your trip when you have that stance that goes like “come what may, nothing can bring me down”.

Well, tips can never end and we can give you a whole book on this but you should rather spend more time in implementing these. Whether going on a solo trip or with your woman gang, do not forget to smile and spread happiness around the world.

Also, if you are having a religious mindset, you and your ladies’ gang can also plan for the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra and Pavitra Kailash Yatra promises to make your trip worth remembering. We will make sure that you have a wonderful time at this gorgeous place and you will have fond memories to live with forever.
